These Surahs were revealed together, hence the common name of both is Mu’awwidhatayn (Mauzatain). Please Note that Surah al-Falaq (113) and Surah al-Nas (114) are among the two surahs seeking refuge in Allah.
The Surah also teaches that one should seek refuge in Allah from the evil of what He has created. Surah Al-Ikhlas, also known as the “Chapter of Sincerity,” is the 112th chapter of the Quran and it consists of 4 verses. Surah Al-Kafirun, also known as the “Chapter of the Disbelievers,” is the 109th chapter of the Quran and it consists of 6 verses.
